Fourth - Fifth of July

Up at 3:00 am in the morning the Fourth of July and at the airport by 4:00 am, off to Newark for a brief layover and then the flight to Copenhagen.

A marketing tool at the Newark Airport, not sure what it was all about.

When we arrived in Brugge, the first stop was at the grocery store. Dinner plans were made at the Food Lion, then shopping began. The Food Lion has a system where you scan your groceries. The scanner will tell you if there are sales and specials. Michelle put her grocery card into the scanner and it downloads the data, the card then goes into the register, pay without help from a cashier. Off we went to the new apartment and the outdoor terrace.

Henk advised that we stay up and we have an easy evening. If we are good and tired, we will have a good night sleep, adjust better to local time and be ready for a day in the old city.

The new apartment is very comfortable with lots of natural light and two outdoor terraces. The kitchen is modern, all of the appliance doors match the cabinets.

A dinner of Rugge Fish was prepared, this translates to Ray Fish, along with potatoes, vegetables and topped off with some cheese cake.

A view from the deck, the apartment complex is under construction.

The complex is nestled into the Brugge neighborhood

Decorations from Henk and Michelle's travels

A pet that they took home from Africa

We went back to our hotel and slept for over 10 hours!
