Reserved for Prayer

We toured a number of Churches on Saturday, it is to much to show and difficult to express the grandeur in photo's. The Catholic Church was the center piece of life, culture and politics in the middle ages and the renaissance. The commitment  and care to the workmanship and design are other worldly.

The photo below come from five churches, each church design tells a story, hundreds of years of work. At first you think of the money spent, then you realize the number of artist, craftsman and tradesman that were employed. Now the business of restoration and upkeep is the order.  

I wonder if her prayers came true?
