Greetings From Nevis

It was a long day of travel, our flight to Miami was about 5 hours, we had a layover for about 4 hours at the airport, at that time I was not sure I could make it through Saturday without a nap, but we rallied!

Arriving to Saint Kitt's Airport, the landscape reminded me of Eastern Washington or Montana on the ocean.

It is a small airport, the Saint Kitt's staff was helpful and we went through customs fast. The German Shepard was really enjoying his job jumping on and off, running on the conveyor belt sniffing the suit cases.

After a short drive we took a water taxi to Nevis

Pamela picked us up at the dock and we drove to her house, the first thing we noticed were the goats and sheep on/in/around the road free ranging. They do this all day then as the sun goes down head home. This morning we woke to the sound of animals all over the neighborhood, just like we were on a farm.

Pamela lives on the bottom part of the house, when she purchased it, the top was unfinished. She is remodeling it as she gets funds, her goal is to turn it into a rental. The bottom part of the home is 2,500 sf, she has all the comforts including a cable service that is the most comprehensive offering that I have ever seen.

Once it is finished, the view will be worth a couple hundred a night!

I can tell you that we will be eating good here, Pamela is a great cook. Lennox and Latoya, her cousins came over, they outlined some plans for the local fare, that will include some rum tasting.
We finished up our day with dinner out at a local excellent Indian Restaurant.
