Golden Rock Remodeled for Visitors

In our earlier posts we shared photo's of  sugar plantation mills in ruins, today we visited some spectacular remodeled hotels. The first one is The Golden Rock Inn, up the Mountain in Gingerland Parish.

It is very peaceful and quiet, the grounds beautifully landscaped with tropical plants. The swimming pool is spring fed.

This is the inside of the plantation cook house, for the household, now converted to a bar.

This is where the bread was made, with the smoke going up the chimney.

The other end of the building was used for child care.
