The Belgian Coast Suprise

Our coastal trip took us from Knonke-Heist to Ostend, the day was windy and cool, so there were not too many people swimming on the beach. What took Lois and I by surprise was the size and the scope of the beach community in Belgium, it seems as though everyone in the country owns a place on the coast.

Henk said most of the apartments were built in the 50's-60's

Nice sandy beaches that are carefully tended to, with sand being brought in when necessary

You can pay to have your own beach storage unit, you must take it down after the swimming season is over

As far as the eye can see

Protect your food, the birds think it is theirs
